How We Help

Early Support

For young people who could use the right support before challenges get bigger.

We create opportunities for youth to help them take steps in a new direction.

In the Lead is a strength-based leadership and youth development program that empowers young people to recognize their strengths and realize their potential. Participants build self-awareness and essential life skills to overcome barriers, supporting success today while laying the foundation for long-term well-being, strong community connections, and a positive transition to adulthood, education, and meaningful employment pathways.

Our Early Support Programs

In the Lead: School Based

Building young leaders through our schools.

We work within high school settings as an extra-curricular opportunity for the unlikely and unseen leaders in those communities.

In the Lead is delivered in our partner schools and runs the length of a semester.

Participants can earn up to three (3) Alberta Ed credits.

In the Lead: Community Based

Building young leaders through community.

A weekly, 90-minute program that works on the leadership capacities of young people ages 14-18 to develop critical coping strategies, build positive self-concept, and strengthen their resiliency and confidence.

In the Lead: 180 Prevention

Focusing on prevention strategies for youth at risk of justice involvement.

This program focuses on early identification and prevention strategies for youth at risk of justice involvement.

It is a 6-week version of the full In the Lead program that builds protective factors in young people to reduce risk factors that could lead to harmful behaviour.

Available online and in-person.
